The move comes on the back of a police complaint under the Information Technology Act 2008 (66D), 65-A Copyright Act, and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code registered in Agra district by Star India Private Limited, alleging that their authorised content was being illegally re-streamed through Ekbet and other fake websites and money was withdrawn from multiple bank accounts through subscription.
