Large-scale Hollywood films such as Avatar- The Way of Water, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Top Gun: Maverick have seen over 50% of their overall box office revenues in India come from the south from specific dubbed versions. Trade experts say while there are generally more theatres well-equipped with the infrastructure to play Hollywood films in the south, the region has also extended its broader love for cinema that it watches in larger numbers than the north, to Hollywood.
“In the Prime Minister's vision of developing telecom technology, standards and research protocols will take a very important place. The operator of popular pirate streaming app Cloudstream has voluntarily taken down its code and disabled its website. The developer took action after the Motion Picture Association targeted the open-source Android app in a complaint filed at GitHub. The MPA hasn't contacted the developer directly but the Hollywood group considers Cloudstream a prime enforcement target.
Indian action crime show Rana Naidu has climbed onto Netflix’s top 10 list of most-watched non-English series for the second consecutive week, becoming one of the streamer’s most globally successful Hindi-language titles to date. The show is a local adaptation of CBS’ hit crime drama Ray Donovan. This week it hit fourth place on Netflix’s global charts with 16.41 million viewed hours, more than double the first week’s viewership total.

Apple Inc. plans to spend $1 billion a year to produce movies that will be released in theatres, part of an ambitious effort to raise its profile in Hollywood and lure subscribers to its streaming service. Apple has approached movie studios about partnering to release a few titles in theatres this year and a slate of more films in the future.
"Star India is demanding an 8% hike in subscription payouts from the MSOs," a totop TV distribution executive said on condition of anonymity. "However, the MSOs are resisting the hike since Star comprises the biggest chunk of their annual content costs. Even a small increase in the subscription payout will hurt their bottomline."

Calls for an explanation are met with silence.
