The Motion Picture Association (MPA), represented by Chairman and CEO Charles Rivkin, recently strengthened the U.S.–Japan creative alliance through high-level engagements focused on enhancing the regional media landscape. Alongside Yoshishige Shimatani, Chairperson of the Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan (MPPAJ), Mr. Rivkin submitted a Joint Statement to METI Minister Akazawa Ryosei. This statement formally requests a deepening of cultural exchange between the U.S. and Japan through the film industry and strengthening the creative economy.
