Tonight, Netflix, the Embassy of Italy, and the Motion Picture Association co-hosted a special screening and reception for Il Gattopardo Season 1, Episode 1 at the MPA’s global headquarters in Washington, DC.

 

The evening featured welcome remarks from Charles Rivkin, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association; Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer at Netflix; and video remarks from Ambassador Mariangela Zappia of the Embassy of Italy. Ambassador Zappia’s message was followed by a special video introduction from the cast.

Attendees were treated to a first look at Netflix’s highly anticipated adaptation of Il Gattopardo—a sweeping historical drama inspired by the classic Italian novel, exploring legacy, power, and societal change.
