The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a consultation paper to develop a regulatory framework for Application-based Linear Television Distribution (ALTD) services, a category that includes Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) services, which include apps like Samsung’s TV Plus or Xiaomi TV+.
