    Between April 29 and May 15, 2025, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), issued three orders under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, a provision that empowers the government to block public access to online content on the grounds of sovereignty, security, or public order, directing Google to remove more than 3,000 apps from the Play Store, according to a report by Moneycontrol.
