In April this year, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) released a Business Requirement Document (BRD) describing a Consent Management System (CMS) that introduces a set of guidelines and rules that allows data principals to make all important decisions regarding consent for data protection and processing, from granting it to withdrawing it, through a single platform that complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and the DPDP Rules.
